roofersinireland.ie is an independent directory of roofing contractors in Ireland, run by Dave Coleman. It is free to use, we take nothing from any job, and we do not sell your details on. This page sets out the limits of what the site does, so that nobody relies on it for more than it can honestly carry.

We Do Not Vet, Endorse or Recommend Anyone

This is the most important thing on this page. The contractors listed here are businesses we found in public business listings. We do not check their insurance, their tax clearance, their qualifications, their trade body membership or the quality of their work, and a listing on this site is not a recommendation, an endorsement, an approval or a guarantee of any kind. Appearing in this directory means only that the business exists and describes itself as doing roofing work.

Checking that a contractor is the right one for your job is your responsibility, and it is worth doing properly. Ask for proof of public liability insurance, get the quote and the workmanship guarantee in writing before any work starts, and take references. Ratings and Reviews Are Google's, Not Ours

Where a star rating or a review count appears beside a business, it is that business's own public Google rating, shown as Google shows it. We do not score, rank or assess anyone ourselves. Ratings are a snapshot taken when the data was last refreshed and may be out of date by the time you read them, and like all public review data they can be incomplete or disputed. Treat a rating as one piece of information among several, not as a verdict.

The order contractors appear in is shuffled on each visit so that no business gains an advantage from position alone. Position on the page carries no meaning whatsoever, and it is not a ranking of quality.

Prices Are Guides, Not Quotes

Any price, price range or cost band on this site is a general indication of what work of that kind has tended to cost in Ireland, published to help you sense-check a quote and spot one that looks wrong. It is an editorial estimate, it is not a quotation, it is not an offer, and no contractor listed here is bound by it.

Real prices vary enormously with access, scaffold, height, pitch, the condition of the timbers underneath, the materials you choose, the time of year and where in the country you are. The only price that means anything is a written quote for your own roof, from a contractor who has been out and looked at it. Get three.

Tax, Grants and Regulations Change

Where the site refers to VAT, SEAI grants, building regulations or any other official scheme, it describes how the thing generally works rather than publishing rates or amounts, and that is deliberate. Figures of that sort change, sometimes at short notice, and a number that was right when it was written can be wrong by the time it is read.

Always confirm the current position with the official source before you budget or make a decision. For VAT that is Revenue, and for home energy grants it is SEAI. Grant eligibility in particular depends on details of your own property and circumstances that we know nothing about.

Nothing Here Is Professional Advice

The guides on this site are general information for homeowners, written to help you ask better questions. They are not structural, engineering, surveying, legal, insurance, tax or financial advice, and they are no substitute for having a qualified professional inspect your actual roof. If your roof is unsafe, if there is a structural concern, or if an insurance claim is involved, get a suitably qualified professional to look at it.

Never go up on a roof yourself to check something you have read here. Roof work causes serious injuries and deaths in Ireland every year, and it is work for someone with the right equipment and training.

Your Agreement Is With the Contractor

If you contact a contractor through this site, whether by phone or through an enquiry form, any agreement you reach is between you and that contractor alone. We are not a party to it, we do not act as an agent or broker for either side, we take no commission, and we have no involvement in the work, the price, the timescale or anything that happens afterwards.

Where an enquiry form is available on a listing, it forwards your message to the contractor by email. We cannot guarantee that a contractor will reply, or reply promptly, and we have no control over how they handle your enquiry once it reaches them.

Links to Other Sites

The site links out to contractors' own websites and to third-party sources such as Revenue and SEAI. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Some listings are marked as a featured partner. That indicates a commercial arrangement with that business and nothing more, so it should not be read as a recommendation or as any assessment of their work.

Accuracy and Availability

We put real effort into keeping the directory accurate, but contractor details change constantly, businesses close, phone numbers are reassigned and public listing data carries errors of its own. We cannot guarantee that any listing is current, complete or correct, and we give no warranty that the site will be available or error free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, from reliance on anything published on it, or from any dealings with a contractor you found through it. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
